Training and Education

Ruta Mazelis is a nationally known speaker, trainer, program development consultant, and content specialist. Both a dynamic and sensitive keynoter and a skilled facilitator of interactive learning, Ruta is unusually adept at reframing the distressing topic of self injury and helping service providers work effectively with those who use it as a coping tool.

Ruta has been teaching, writing and consulting on the issues of self-injury and self-harm for over a decade. Her approach has been taught in schools and other child-serving organizations, mental health and substance abuse treatment facilities, with corrections personnel, and in many other settings where trauma survivors surface.
